		<description>hi Ginger, thanks for the post - the inspiration for the project is due to the timing for the Great Lakes Compact - it was just passed as an international agreement last year BUT the actual regulations and permit codes to implement the GLCompact in each state and province are being written now - for starters, all businesses within the Great Lakes basin have to conserve water, and overall, it&#039;s a smart move to save money and build a sustainable business. The National Wildlife Federation has a good website with info on the GL Compact, the Great Lakes Regional Center - http://www.nwf.org 

FYI - the next water conservation workshop for craft brewers and cheesemakers is in Rochester NY on March 26- details and agenda at conserve-greatlakes.com, workshop sponsor Alfa Laval USA, plus a craft beer and cheese tasting sponsored by Briggs of Burton Inc.,
